Petition Asking Ulbricht Release Gathers 275K Signatures

A petition calling for the White House to release Ross Ulbricht, creator of the Silk Road Ducknet market, has garnered more than 275,000 signatures.

According to Cointelegraph, the FreeRoss campaign is the brainchild of a group of family, friends, and fans of Ulbricht , who claim that the move will continue to grow and that they feel they have a solution soon. Ulbricates will be out of jail.

The campaign claimed to be in good stead during the latest update posted on the website of the online request. They also stated that visits had been canceled for up to 30 days due to preventive measures against the Coronavirus.

Campaigners hope to be able to collect 300,000 signatures.

The group of family members and friends of Ulbricates believe that the sentence of life imprisonment without parole was considered a “violation of justice” and was not treated fairly. They claim that more than 200 organizations, including members of the digital currency community, support the campaign.

In addition, Ulbricht supporters have accused federal inspectors of misconduct, violations of the constitution and corruption.

Tim Draper, a digital currency activist, in an interview on 2019 December 14, demanded the release of the founder of the Silk Road. He said in an interview:

He has been in prison for some time. Bring him out! I cry when my cat is in a cage. Being in prison with these prisoners makes my heart break.

They're powerful because they control our data.”But unlike the Web2 platforms that we’ve become accustomed to, blockchain-based applications allow us to control that data and not be subject to “digital colonization”, said Sui, adding: “The powerful [thing about] Web3 is the fact that we can take ownership and we can make a big change with this because we have distributed and dec..
